Autism spectrum: Duval private schools and FES-UA funding

Autism is one of the three most frequently reported categories among Duval private schools, and the state directory still shows an older 'autistic' label for some of them, which we count here as the same category. 33 private schools in Duval tell the state they serve this category, and 24 of them also accept the Private School Scholarship.

Copied from the state record. School details on this page come from the Florida Department of Education Private School Directory (Duval district), pulled October 28, 2026. The scholarship flags are the state's own participant flags on that date. The state does not collect tuition, so confirm the price with the school.

What does the FES-UA account pay for when a child has autism spectrum?

Beyond tuition, an FES-UA account can cover behavior analysis supervised by a BCBA, speech and occupational therapy, specialist summer programs and sensory tools.
A diagnosis from a licensed physician or psychologist qualifies, as does a physician assistant acting for a physician in 2026-27, and so does an existing IEP.

The account can pay a school's tuition and eligible fees, licensed therapies, credentialed tutors, curriculum, assistive technology, specialized summer programs, testing and evaluations. See every category →
