Few states fund private education as widely as Florida, but the facts a parent needs are scattered: amounts in one table, dates on another page, and school participation in a directory few people open. Jacksonville Edu Funding puts the three side by side for Duval County, showing the award for your child's grade, the programs open to you and the schools that accept the money.
Each funding check is read by a tuition counselor who follows up with a written plan. A few schools and groups work with us; we mark every such relationship where it shows up, and none of them affects what we recommend.
Where does the school data on this site come from?
Every listing copies what the school reported to the Florida Department of Education Private School Directory (Duval district), which we pulled October 28, 2026. That means its state ID, address, website, grades, religious affiliation, students served, accreditations, disability categories, enrollment by grade, the year of its latest survey and its FTC, FES-EO, FES-UA and PEP participation flags. On that day the Duval district had 180 registered schools, with 133 flagged FTC/FES-EO, 137 flagged FES-UA and 11 flagged PEP. A handful of schools still use retired disability labels such as "autistic" or "intellectually disabled", which we group under today's category names.
Where do the award amounts and dates come from?
We took the Duval amounts ($8,409, $7,821 and $7,629 by grade band) and the Unique Abilities figure of $10,573 at matrix levels 1-3 from Step Up For Students' 2026-27 district tables. Dates come from Step Up's scheduling and application pages as read on October 28, 2026. The state does not collect tuition, so a school that wants it shown can claim its listing.
Think something is wrong? The quickest cure is for the school to correct its state survey, though we also fix listings when asked and re-pull the directory on a regular basis.
